Session Three: COVID-19 Return to Work Report and Scripts & Dialogues™ for Employers

Carol Fishman Cohen will discuss two timely topics:
1) COVID 19 Return to Work Report: Employer Return to Work Programming Decisions and Relauncher Return to Work Job Searching Behaviors
2) Scripts & Dialogues™ for Employers: What to Say and Write When Running Return to Work Programs. Conversations with managers, candidates, relaunchers and other stakeholders
Session three's discussion is in two parts - Carol Fishman Cohen, iRelaunch Chair and Co-founder, will first walk through what iRelaunch is seeing in terms of company return to work programming and recruiting responses to the COVID crisis – in-person, virtual, postponed, canceled programs, and a status on companies that are recruiting now for fall programs. She will also talk about the behaviors iRelaunch is seeing among the relauncher population and what strategies were helpful to relaunchers who got hired in the 2008 recession. If there is time, she will start the Scripts & Dialogues™ for Employers Q & A, focusing on scripts for the most important conversations program managers have with stakeholders in return to work programs. We will try to include at least one script and dialogue in every session, time permitting.

Meet Carol Fishman Cohen
Carol Fishman Cohen, builder of corporate career re-entry programs and leader of the iRelaunch #returntowork community (now over 80,000 strong) is a pioneer in the career re-entry space. Her viral TED talk "How to get back to work after a career break," has more than 3 million views and is translated into 30 languages. She is the host of the popular "3,2,1 iRelaunch" podcast, author of the seminal Harvard Business Review article "The 40-Year-Old Intern," and continues to write for HBR on career-re-entry topics. Regularly quoted in the national press as a subject matter expert on career re-entry and a sought-after international speaker, Carol has addressed more than 500 audiences. She has been honored with numerous awards, most recently receiving the "Target Storyteller's Award" on the main stage of the 2019 Massachusetts Conference for Women before 11,000 attendees.
Carol and the iRelaunch team produce the iRelaunch Return to Work Conferences and work with more than 100 global companies on return to work programs of all kinds. She is a relauncher herself, having returned to work at Bain Capital after an 11-year career break before co-founding iRelaunch.
